Anna Silk

Anna Silk, born January 31st, 1974 in Fredericton, New Brunswick Canada, is an actor famous for her character Bo in the Showcase Series Lost Girl. Silk was raised in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada. Ilkay and Peter Silk were both scholars. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She is director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching working and going to practice sessions for plays. Silk appeared as a little girl in commercials. She completed a Bachelor's degree in Arts from St. Thomas University. Theatre St. Thomas produced two early shows: Seven Menus, and The Kitchen. Silk relocated out of Toronto to Los Angeles within the decade that followed 1999. Seth Cooperman met Silk at an acting workshop held in Los Angeles, in 2007. The couple got married in December of 2009 following a civil ceremony. They renewed their vows on April 10, 2011 in Fredericton, after the woman changed her religion to Judaism. Silk was blessed with a son named Samuel Jerome Cooperman on May 13 2013. Levi Aaron, Silk's second child was born in the month of May 2016. Silk's television work has included her part in Being Erica as Cassidy Holland and she received a Gemini Awards nod in 2009. Silk was cast in the lead role in the role of Bo Dennis, a succubus, as Bo Dennis in Lost Girl. Silk told fans of the show the good information that she was pregnant during the filming of season 3 in an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was shown by Showcase at a special Season Three show held January 6, 2013 before the show's premiere. Silk, who has been doing work on the show since the final season episode was first conceived on the 6th of January, 2013 on Twitter, announced her readiness to return on June 4th, 2013 as Showcase and Prodigy Pictures began production of fourth season. CNN's Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo along with Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples among their top television Couples. E! named them as the most popular Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Silk is one of the most watched shows on the social networks.
