Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman holds an Honorary Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. Her name is widely praised for launching the modern science of the eyewitness memory of children as well as using children who have been abused to be legal witnesses. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and has been awarded numerous national and international awards. She has advised many administrations and agencies across all over the world on policy and studies pertaining to child victims of the law by the system. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center and was previously known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has been a member of several professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman has served as president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
